Circle of Hope, a Needham-based nonprofit, is looking for new volunteers!
The mission of Circle of Hope is to provide clothing and other necessities to 21 Boston-area homeless shelters and programs in order to preserve the health and dignity of homeless individuals and families. Volunteers can sign up for one or more 2-3 hour shifts per week, and right now we are specifically looking for people to fill morning shifts¬†Monday¬†‚ÄstThursday¬†between¬†9 am - noon.¬† To learn more about volunteering and how to apply, visit our website at¬†www.circleofhopeonline.org/volunteer¬†or contact Jody Barnet at¬†jody@circleofhopeonline.org.

Girls Who Code - for girls in Grades 5 and up. Meets on Thursday evenings from 6-8 pm in the library's STEAM station through the school year, except for holidays.  Girls will work together in groups to create a webpage that also contains an online game.  Girls who join the club should attend each session. Join BID Hospital Needham for our 19th Annual Gala, "Havana Nights," on¬†Saturday, October 28, 2017¬†at the Westin Copley Place, Boston from¬†6 p.m. to midnight. Festivities will include live entertainment by EYE2EYE, open bar, dinner, dancing, raffle prizes, silent auction, live auction and¬†Maria Stephanos, WCVB Channel 5 Evening Anchor, as the evenings emcee. Proceeds from the event will support the new Clinical Center at BID‚ÄďNeedham. Book Sale October 14-15
Friends of the Library will host a book sale at the Needham Free Public Library onSaturday, October 14 from 9:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Sunday is Bargain Day. Information at 781-455-7559 or 

Creative Pumpkins Crafternoon on Thursday, October 19th for ages 9 and up. Decorate plastic pumpkins with old book pages, music pages, tissue paper, yarn and your imagination. Come drop-in at the YA Department upstairs.

Needham High School Craft Fair - Saturday, October 21st 9:30 am to 4 pm. Get an early start on holiday shopping! More than 100 juried artisans and vendors will be selling unique gifts and crafts, plus a Silent Auction and our famous Bake Sale!
